West Indies are in shambles as the English pacemen are running through them with swing, seam, pace and hostile spell of fast bowling. The out-of-form Shai Hope was looking to redeem his test career for one last time after being given a long rope by the West Indies management but the legend in James Anderson had other ideas as he dismissed Shai Hope with a beauty of an outswinger.

Vintage James Anderson

The 37 year old right arm fast medium swing bowler is bowling brilliantly as ever. The veteran was dropped for the 2nd test as part of England’s rotation policy but England brought back Jimmy for the all important decider.

The bowler who is 11 wickets short of breaching the 600 wicket club was seen in supreme rhythm right from the word go. England bowlers were on the money and didn’t allow the West Indian batters to get a grip on the game.

The talented wicket-keeper batsman who is playing as a pure #3 batsman for West Indies in this series Shai Hope was in terrible form prior to this match and this was his last chance to prove himself but he was undone by an absolute cracker-jacker of a delivery from James Anderson that took the outside edge of Shai Hope.

As per cricvizz, the ball before the wicket fell, Anderson swung it to 3.3 degrees and the wicket ball was released from slightly a wider angle which forced Hope to play at it eventually getting the better of batsman.

West Indies in mud

Earlier, West Indies came out with an intention to restrict England to below 300 but a 76 run partnership between Dom Bess and Stuart Broad completely took the game away from West Indies as England posted a healthy first innings score of 369 runs. West Indies are struggling to avoid follow-on at the moment as they are restricted to 137 for the loss of 6 wickets with the captain Jason Holder and Shane Dowrich at the crease.
