Rohit Sharma and David Warner are two of the famous cricketers that found themselves busy during this quarantine time by doing Instagram live sessions with various other cricketers. This time they went on to do an Instagram live session together. During the live session Rohit Sharma revealed some shocking statements regarding his retirement from international cricket.

Will finish much before 38-39 says Rohit

Rohit Sharma, the vice captain of Indian cricket team in limited overs is one among India’s premier cricket players. He enjoys tremendous fan base and is amongst the most followed cricketers among the current players. In India it is a general trend for the best players to play for as long as they want to. But to the surprise of all his fans, he revealed a shocking statement regarding his retirement from the game on Instagram live session with David Warner.

“In India while growing up you say cricket is life, but there is so much beyond that. Your cricket finishes when you are 38-39. I don’t know when will you finish, but I’ll finish much before that.” said Rohit Sharma to Warner.

Rohit is now 33 years old and is at the peak of his form. He is currently ranked number 2 in the ICC ODI Batsmen rankings. So this just mere thought of retirement coming from a player who is in peak of his form is going create an anxiety among cricket fans.

Life after Cricket

Rohit went on to say that there is much more to life than just cricket and he would like to spend most of his time with family after retirement. He said that he can imagine how hard it is for Ritika to manage their daughter alone without him. And went onto stress that he can understand the difficulty Candice will be going through to manage three daughters without David being around for most of the time.

Both these players give so much importance to their families. Rohit and Ritika have been posting images of their adorable daughter Samaria on social media platforms while Warner and family are busy spending their time in quarantine doing tiktok videos.
