The season was supposed to be crucial for the left-handed batsman as he missed the limited-overs assignment against the Blackcaps. However, he returned to the team against the Proteas but the series was postponed by the BCCI. Shikhar Dhawan was eyeing the IPL to get into the form before the ICC T20 World Cup 2020 but now the tournament has been postponed by the BCCI amid the global pandemic, the Indian opener is spending time at home.
