Shikhar Dhawan is a huge name in the Indian Cricket. The left-handed dashing opener has earned millions of fans with his explosive batting. So, whatever he does on social media is bound to recieve a lot of attention. With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, not only India but the entire world has been brought to a screeching halt. The outbreak of the deadly disease has seen every sporting event across the globe to be suspended. Looking at the seriousness of the matter, the BCCI already decided to postpone the IPL and now the Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi announced a nationwide lockdown for the next 21 days starting from 25th of March. This has forced people to confine in their home and the cricketers are no different.

However, many cricketers have taken this opportunity to show a different side of their life to the fans on social media. In the process, Shikhar Dhawan also shared a video on Instagram in which he can be seen performing household chores after spending a week’s time at home.

What’s Next for Dhawan?

The Southpaw was all set to represent Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League 2020 after being traded from Surisers Hyderabad. The season was supposed to be crucial for the left-handed batsman as he missed the limited-overs assignment against the Blackcaps. However, he returned to the team against the Proteas but the series was postponed by the BCCI. Shikhar Dhawan was eyeing the IPL to get into the form before the ICC T20 World Cup 2020 but now the tournament has been postponed by the BCCI amid the global pandemic, the Indian opener is spending time at home.
