Corona Virus is the only thing that is prevalent all over the world at the moment and it is certainly not good times for the people. Amid Coronavirus, almost every sporting event has met the fate of suspension. And due to it, sports personalities are looking for different ways to keep themselves busy in the self-isolation period.

A very common method that Indian cricket team players (former and current alike) are using to spend time is to have a question answer session in social media. Shreyas Iyer is one such person who comes in the above category. He came up with this couple of days ago. Now he has gone to enjoy with his adorable pet dog and posted a short video in his Twitter handle.

Dog – A man’s best friend

Dogs are indeed a man’s best friend. The animal just showers unbelievable amount of love on its owner. Indian middle order batter Shreyas Iyer has realised that itseems. He was seen playing with his pet dog in his home. Not only was he seen petting the dog but Shreyas Iyer was giving catching practice to his dog.

It was a heart warming sight to see the adorable pet catch the ball of the bat of Shreyas Iyer. Watch the clip that the batsman himself posted on his Twitter account.

Iyer eager to return to cricket

The Indian premier league which was supposedly scheduled to begin on March 29 was postponed to April 15 but the future of the tournament looks all but gone with sources almost confirming that it might be cancelled for the year 2020.

Shreyas Iyer has had a good time with the bat this year and is very much eager to return to cricket as he’s looking to cement his spot in Indian T20 side. Shreyas Iyer emerged as the highest run getter in the latest ODI series that India played. He finished with 217 runs in 3 outings. Also in the T20 series before the ODIs against the Kiwis he amassed 153 runs in 5 innings with an impressive average of 51 and strike rate of 131.
