Western Sydney Wanderers will be looking to build on a winning momentum under their interim manager Jean-Paul de Marigny as they play hosts to Adelaide United who are going through a positive run at the moment. The Wanderers are fresh from a 1-1 draw to Newcastle Jets and had won 3-1 prior to that versus Central Coast Mariners. Western Sydney finds itself at the 8th spot in the league with 18 points from 16 games.
As for Adelaide United, they have recorded four wins from the last five games and are nicely placed at fourth with 27 points. A win by two goals or more for Adelaide could catapult to the second spot in place of Melbourne City FC. Their most recent result was a 2-0 win over Central Coast Mariners.

Verdana Janjetovic is out due to a shoulder injury, while, Daniel Wilmering and Radoslaw Majewski have both sustained knocks to their knees. Jordan O’Doherty and Noah Pagden could get the nods ahead. That being said, Jean-Paul de Marigny could go with a similar team that squared off in the 1-1 draw to Newcastle Jets recently.
Ryan Strain, James Troisi, Nathan Konstandopoulos, Lachlan Brook, Pacifique Niyongabire and Al Hassan Toure remain on the sidelines due to injury, whereas Lachlan Brook is on international duty. However, Michael Marrone and Ryan Kitto have returned to training and could have a part to play in the upcoming fixture. Gertjan Verbeek is also likely to go with a similar eleven that featured in the 2-0 win over Central Coast Mariners. B Halloran, K Opseth and N Mileusnic are likely to be the front three, while, G Blackwood, L D’Arrigo and R McGree start in midfield.
