Before rain interrupted the match, the match was slipping away form the WI, as has been the case throughout their tour of NZ. Out of two tests, Three ODI, and one and a half T20 that has been played, they haven’t tasted a win.
The first match was won comprehensively by NZ, and once again they were cruising at the run rate of 11 when rain stopped the play. Colin Munro took the WI bowlers for the cleaners and scoreboard showed that.
Though four bowlers for the West Indians took one wicket each, their economies were soaring through the roofs. Only Ashley Nurse and Samuel Badree had their economies in single digits. WI need a serious turn out of the events to have a win, on their last chance of the tour.
