Arjun Tendulkar, the young pace bowler, and son of Sachin Tendulkar will feature in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2021. Mumbai has named him in the 22-member squad. This is the first time the youngster will play in the senior team of Mumbai.

Arjun Tendulkar and Krutik Hanagavadi added in Mumbai’s squad

Mumbai team’s chief selector Salil Ankola made the announcement on Saturday. Along with Arjun Tendulkar, Mumbai has added Krutik Hanagavadi to the squad. Both these players are peace bowlers and it seems Mumbai wants to bolster their bowling attack. The move is a sensible one considering the frequent injuries pace bowlers are prone to and the limitations to the squad due to the bio-secure bubble.

An MCA official said that earlier the BCCI had asked to select 20 players. But later the board has said that 22 players can be selected in the squad. So accordingly, Mumbai has added the two players to the squad.

Arjun to feature in Mumbai’s senior team for the first time
