The upcoming IND vs ENG Test series has already created a lot of excitement among fans and now there is one more reason added to it as Indian spinner R Ashwin has made an outrageous bet with regards to C Pujara’s batting against spinners in this series.

Ashwin says he will take off half his mustache and bat if Pujara does this

Indian spinner R Ashwin was having a discussion with India’s batting coach Vikram Rathour on his YouTube channel. During their chat, they talked about Cheteshwar Pujara.

Ashwin claimed that the way Pujara bats against an off-spinner like Nathan Lyon, he makes him look unplayable and then people demand the same from Ashwin. Rathour defended Pujara and said there is a certain way Pujara bats and he has reasons behind it.

Ashwin then asked Rathour, “Will we ever see Pujara hit an off-spinner over the top?” The Indian batting coach responded to the question by saying that the work is in progress and he is trying to convince Pujara to at least once go over the top.

The Indian off-spinner then claimed that he will take half his mustache out and come and play the game, if Pujara goes over the top against Moeen Ali or any other spinner in this England series. Ashwin made it clear that this is an open challenge!
