IPL 2020 Auction will be held on December 19 in Kolkata. The auction does not include big Indian names but 332 players have been shortlisted to go under the hammer and has all the other reasons for a cricket fan to get excited about.

To start with, there has been more focus on many uncapped players in this season like never before. Teams will be looking to buy young uncapped players who are in red hot form this domestic season at a minimum budget so that they can also build a team for the future. Players like Chris Lynn, Glenn Maxwell, Eoin Morgan are among others to fetch a high price.

Let us take a look at some of the uncapped players who are sure to get good bids in this auction

Yashasvi Jaiswal

The 17-year-old Southpaw from Mumbai has already made a huge name for himself by smashing a Double century in Vijay Hazare trophy (50 over format) this year against Jharkhand. Yashasvi became the youngest to score a FC double century. He ended up scoring 203 runs in just 154 balls. He also continued his good form thereafter, scoring handful of runs in almost every game he got a chance to play with a very impressive strike rate as well.

He ended up the Vijay Hazare tournament with 564 runs from just 6 games at an average of 112.80. He is also a part of India U19 world cup squad which was selected a few days ago and will be touring to South Africa later next year. With some teams like RCB, Rajasthan Royals who are searching for a few top-order Indian bats, Jaiswal is surely a good option for them.

R Sai Kishore

The tall left-arm orthodox from Tamil Nadu has had a breakout season this year in the domestic circuit. In Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, he destroyed teams in the powerplays with the new ball and finished the tournament with 20 wickets in just 12 games at an impressive economy of 4.63 and at an average of 10.40. Kishore was bowling majority of his overs in the powerplay, which many teams would have noticed. He not only restricted the opposition but also picked wickets which dented the opposition big time.

Kishore has had trials with CSK last season which he told in an interview that it made him a better bowler. If everything goes good, Sai Kishore is sure to get sold in this upcoming auction.

Virat Singh

The 21-year-old stylish left handed bat, Virat Singh from Jharkhand has been making all the right noises in the domestic circuit to get himself an IPL contract. The southpaw is a top-order batsman who can anchor the innings well and can also go big. Virat played some quality knocks under pressure this season for his state team Jharkhand.

In the recently concluded Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, Virat made 343 runs in 10 innings at a strike rate of 143.32 with three fifties and a best score of 76*. He also has played 23 FC matches, amassing 965 runs with two centuries. He is seen as a prodigy and will surely attract some team management in IPL 2020 Auction.

Baba Aparajith

Baba Aparajith was touted to be the next big thing in Indian Cricket after his under 19 heroics a few years back but he soon faded away from the limelight due to lack of form and injuries. He also got IPL gigs, was part of CSK and Rising Pune Supergiants but never got a chance to play a game.

Baba has regained his lost touch and has been playing some scintillating knocks with a wide range of strokeplay. He finished this year’s Vijay Hazare Trophy as the 4th highest run getter scoring 598 runs in just 12 innings at an impressive average of 66.44. He can also bowl some useful off-spinners in the middle overs

In the recently concluded Syed Mushtaq Ali final, he single-handedly dragged Tamil Nadu to Victory with a 25 ball 40 along with Vijay Shankar, but in the end, Tamil Nadu fell short by 1 run. All in all, he is an exciting talent and can easily fit into any team he plays. Look out for this guy in IPL 2020 Auction.

Tushar Deshpande

The 24-year-old right-arm fast bowler, Tushar Deshpande has been impressive. Tushar opens the bowling and is a decent death bowler. If there is some swing on offer then, he can surely cause some trouble. Tushar made his debut in 2016. He has played 13 FC matches, 19 List A games, and 20 T20s.

Deshpande has been able to keep his place in Mumbai side in spite of big names like Shardul Thakur, Dhawal Kulkarni and Shivam Dube. With Indian Domestic fast bowlers being a rarity these days, he is sure to attract a few team management and might get his first IPL gig this year.

Ishan Porel

This Bengal right-arm fast bowler who clocks 140+ kph is surely one to watch out for. Porel has been brilliant in the Vijay Hazare Trophy and Deodhar trophy. In the final of Deodhar trophy, Porel took 5 wickets for 43 runs.

Ishan Porel had a stellar Vijay Hazare Trophy in which he took 10 wickets in 6 matches with an impressive economy of 4.68. He is just 21 years old and has been part of Indian A side consistently for a few series now. With his base price being 20 lakhs, he can attract a lot of bidders.

Roosh Kalaria

Left-arm fast bowlers are a rare commodity in Indian Cricket. Only a few left-arm seamers have made it big at the international level like Zaheer Khan, Ashish Nehra, Irfan Pathan and R P Singh.

Roosh Kalaria is one such left arm seamer who seems to have the quality and potential to make big in the international arena. The 26-year-old Gujarat bowler was impressive in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2019, where he picked 21 wickets from just 11 games. This was a follow-up performance to his 27-wicket season in Ranji Trophy last year.

Teams looking to add variety to their bowling unit might target Roosh at IPL 2020 Auction.
