The Novel Corona Virus Pandemic has made the world come to a halt. Many countries are affected by the deadly virus with cases rising each and every day.

With people’s life being put at risk, there is hardly any enthusiasm related to sporting events taking place. Cricket too has been affected by this pandemic and all matches have been suspended right now.

Royal training session

The Rajasthan Royals team has been conducting training camps for their players in preparation for the IPL. There aren’t many teams that are conducting the training sessions amidst the Corona situation but the Royals have continued their camps while also ensuring the safety of the players and coaches. Sanju Samson is one of the star attraction in the training session held by the franchise.

They made an exclusive video focusing on the Indian wicket keeper batsman’s training drills. The fitness regime was followed by a hit in the nets in which Sanju Samson faced a number of net bowlers. Here’s the video clip released by the Royals in their YouTube channel.

Second Choice Sanju Samson!

Sanju Samson is a bright young talent and there’s no second thought about that. He has scored heaps of runs in the IPL and also in India’s domestic competitions. But the star kid from Kerala has never been able to reach the potential of his talent.

He was given a golden opportunity in the top of the order when India toured New Zealand earlier this year after being a second choice wicket keeper batsman behind either Rahul or Pant. But he wasted those chances by collecting only single digit scores in the 2 outings in the center.

He would be eager to prove his mettle in the IPL again once it eventually happens and stake his claim for the wicket keeper batsman spot in the Indian lineup.

IPL in a jeopardy!

As mentioned earlier, there is no ongoing cricketing action at the moment and the Corona Virus has put many countries in a lockdown situation. With the virus predominantly existing in India as well, the proposed start date for IPL which is March 29 was moved to April 15.

With the latest developments, the IPL governing body is considering a July-September window to conduct the tournament.
