The match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kings XI Punjab was an absolute humdinger and after a string of one-way traffics, fans were treated with an absolute thriller of a game that saw one side bottling and gifting away the game to another side.
The chase was on for SRH and it all seemed like SRH were cruising at one point in time but they decided to take the game deep and dug a hole for themselves. When SRH needed 18 runs from 15 balls, Jason Holder tried to take a single after tapping it to point and what followed after that was an absolutely scary incident that took the fans and players aback
Though, the single was on, Nicholas Pooran was quick to get to the ball and decided to have a shy at the stumps but it took the helmet of Vijay Shankar who seemed flummoxed with the ball hitting his helmet at such a high speed and the players ran towards him and it is also believed that he passed the concussion tests only to get out in the very next ball of the over and left his team stuttering at 110 for the loss of 5 wickets.
Earlier, KXIP managed to score a mere 126 runs in their 20 overs. Nicholas Pooran played to the situation where he scored 33 off 28 balls that had no sixes in it and this innings was in complete contrast to that of his previous knock against Delhi Capitals where he scored 53 off 28 balls.
Sunrisers Hyderabad started their innings with a bang with David Warner smacked the KXIP bowlers to all parts of the ground as SRH finished the powerplay with 52 runs on the board chasing 127. The game turned in the 7th over when Ravi Bishnoi dismissed David Warner for 35 runs and KXIP never allowed the game to drift in favor of SRH from then. In the end, SRH lost the game by 12 runs.
