J Faulkner took a three-wicket haul while J Archer, J Botha and R Meredith took two wickets each to provide a 15-run win to the team. They will hope to continue the winning momentum ahead in the tournament.

Melbourne Stars lost their match to Sydney Thunder by 15 runs in a rain-affected encounter. Bowling first, S Lamichhane and Adam Zampa were the only positives taking two scalps in an otherwise ordinary bowling attack. As per DLS, Stars had to score 90 runs in 8 overs but failed miserably and could only score 74 runs losing six wickets. N Larkin was the sole performer with the bat scoring 28* runs in 13 balls. They will hope to register their first win of the tournament.
