Its high time for KL Rahul led Kings XI Punjab to make some changes and get back their team to winning ways as they have lost 4 games in their first 5 matches to start off the tournament. After having had a good auction where they literally pocketed each and every player they needed, it was expected that they might do well and go all the way for once in their IPL campaign but this horrendous start has been nothing but a massive disappointment to their fans.

Can Chris Gayle change KXIP’s fortunes?

The universe BOSS and the Bradman of T20 cricket in Chris Gayle has been overlooked by KXIP management till this point in time and the need for Chris Gayle has resurfaced after their pathetic start. The big West Indian is a big match player and has been a proven customer over the years in this format of the game. The form of Glenn Maxwell is a real worry for them as the dynamic Australian middle-order batsman has scored 41 runs from his 5 games and it won’t be a bad idea for Chris Gayle to come in the place of Glenn Maxwell.

The talented Afghan spinner Mujeeb-Ur-Rahman is another quality spinner who is waiting in the wings and KXIP can look at him to boast their inexperienced spin attack.

“I would definitely consider Mujeeb. A player of his calibre and capability is important to any bowling attack, especially in a bowling attack which is suffering like Kings XI Punjab. I would be looking to use him for Glenn Maxwell and would be looking to play another Indian batsman in the top six,” said Tom Moody

Can KL Rahul change his intent?

KL Rahul is one of the best T20 batsmen going around in the world at the moment. The range of shots he possesses under his armoury is something that many batsmen can only dream of.

He is the leading run-getter in the tournament so far with 302 runs but the way he has batted has made the fans and experts to raise their eyebrows. His approach to take the game deep and accelerate towards the end of the innings is something that has constantly backfired big time. He will be hoping to showcase what he is completely capable of in the game against SRH.
