Rashid Khan helps defending champions to start off with a bang

The proud defending champions in Barbados Tridents locked horns with St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in their first league game. The captain of Patriots Rayad Emrit won the toss and decided to bowl first and managed to dismiss Barbados’s top order for nothing.
With the help of lower order batsmen, Barbados Tridents managed to go past a reasonable total of 150. In the process, the champion leg spinner in Rashid Khan accumulated a crucial 26 runs from 20 balls batting in at #10.

Why Dhoni, Raina chose ’19:29 hrs’ and 15 August for retirement announcement?

One shot that he launched of the bowling of Alzarri Joseph became the talk of the town as he whipped the ball that was a yorker length to hit it over mid-wicket for a massive six. The wristy six was mind-boggling to say the least.

Rashid Khan does his magic with the ball again

Rashid Khan didn’t only stop with his batting but also exhibited some classic wrist spin to help his team to overcome Patriots in a low-scoring encounter.

St Kitts needed 31 runs from the last 3 overs with 7 wickets in hand to beat the defending champions but Rashid Khan bowled the 18th over and gave away just 3 runs and picked 2 wickets which turned out to be a game changing moment.
The kiwi bowling all rounder Mitchell Santner was magnificent with both bat and ball for Barbados as he scored 20 runs and picked 1 wicket in his 4 overs and he gave away just 18 runs that also included a maiden. He was rightly awarded the man of the match award.
In the end, Barbados won the game by 6 runs and have grabbed the crucial 2 points early in the tournament.
